Our international client is looking for a stand-alone HR Manager Europe to support their Automotive Center of Excellence located in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe. The successful candidate will be responsible for the alignment and implementation of global practices and activities in Ettlingen (~70 employees) and other European sites, providing a full spectrum of HR services and programs linked to organizational needs and objectives. They will works closely with the company’s Corporate Human Resources, Project Directors, and the European Leadership Team to support the achievement of organizational and country goals and objectives through the development, implementation, and management of HR activities.

HR Manager – Europe – f/m

Responsibilities:

  • Focal Point for local employees (70) regarding all aspects of Human resources, incl. Policies and Procedures, Holiday, Maternity Leave, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Training, Induction, Onboarding, Termination, Grievances, Performance Reviews etc
  • Support of various sites in Europe (Netherlands, Denmark, UK)
  • Local deployment and support for global/European HR projects
  • Support local hiring process (planning for job openings, candidates sourcing, interviewing, creation and review of existing hiring documents)
  • Support local training and employee development planning and execution
  • Development and Implementation of local HR Metrics at different sites
  • Provide support to ensure that practices and policies conform to best practice and local laws
  • Roll out of company policies and best practices across the projects i.e. leave management transition, payroll management transition, Intern policy, Training policy, Recognition Awards etc.
  • Implementation of Well-being activities
  • Support and consult professional managers
  • Collaborate with workers’ council

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or other relevant education (Psychology, Sociology etc)
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience as HR Manager Europe or Regional HR Business Partner
  • Experience in an international environment would be a significant advantage
  • Experience in end-to-end HR processes is a must (this is a stand-alone role)
  • Good knowledge of local labor laws
  • Ability to multi-task, manage own time, handle pressure and use own initiative
  • A “can do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic personality that can work effectively an innovative fast-paced start-up environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key decision makers
  • Strong problem solving and solution finding abilities
  • Hands on approach and strong work ethic with an ability to follow through
  • Proactive, flexible and self-motivated team player
