Senior Plant Manager – f/m

How you will contribute:

  • To ensure that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded within the confines of company guidelines
  • Quarterly presentations to customer senior management relative to our scorecard and initiatives
  • Participate in customer invited meetings to support Customer strategic objective
  • Communicate with the customer and demonstrate initiatives supporting continuous improvement
  • Meet company objectives with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment
  • Quarterly presentations to senior management re Plant objectives and initiatives
  • Establish 5 year / contract life business plan, annual budgets and ensure targets are met
  • Local initiatives to ensure plant progression in all regards
  • Adopt continuous improvement within the workplace
  • Plan and execute the concepts of lean manufacturing
  • Ensure the plant plans and executes productivity tasks on an annual and ongoing basis
  • All customer dissatisfaction including production downtime, repeat quality issues and any personal issues
  • Matters relating to finances that will have a negative impact on the plants cost performance
  • Requests for funding that exceed the Plant Manager’s authorization for both capital and expense items.
  • Prioritize activities associated with the elimination of waste in all aspects of our operations.

Your Key Qualifications :

  • Manufacturing / logistics background in the automotive industry is preferred
  • Job experience in a Tier 1 operation is beneficial
  • Managerial experience at various levels
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Must adjust work schedule as determined by the demands of the business, a certain flexibility is mandatory
  • Must be able to communicate to large numbers of employees effectively
  • Must be able to prepare complex presentations and present to leadership and customers
  • Be open, candid and truthful. Never pursue a political agenda but simply explore best solutions. Integrity and respect for individuals are part of a candid culture
  • Proactively seek solutions and make decisions
  • Travelling is involved
